International travelers planning a trip to the United States on the Visa Waiver Program must obtain an ESTA USA authorization before boarding. ESTA stands for Electronic System for Travel Authorization and is required for most visitors arriving by air or sea from visa-waiver countries. The application itself is completed online; practical step-by-step instructions in Czech are available from the same team.
Citizens of Visa Waiver Program countries, including the Czech Republic, who plan a tourist or business visit of up to 90 days must hold a valid ESTA. Travelers who already hold a visitor visa do not need ESTA. More details and the official requirements are available from ta.us.com.
Most applications are approved within hours. Sensitive cases may take up to 72 hours; the client service displays the current average processing time for your reference.
An approved ESTA is valid for two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. During that time you may make multiple visits to the US, each up to 90 days. Always check that your passport remains valid.
