ESTA for Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Italy: country portals and application guide

Citizens of Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Italy travel to the United States under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Instead of a visa, they need an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) before boarding a flight or a ship to the U.S. This note follows the earlier ESTA overview published on this portal and adds the country-specific application portals that travellers from these four countries can use.

Authorized ESTA providers for Slovak, Czech, Polish and Italian travellers

Each of the portals below is an authorized ESTA provider — an agency authorized by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to submit ESTA applications on behalf of travellers. Each portal covers the same ESTA process in the local language, with local customer support and locally familiar payment options:

All four portals are authorized providers of ESTA application assistance. The authorization itself is always issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection; the authorized provider checks the application data and submits the application on the traveller's behalf, in the traveller's own language.

Official authorization and authorised assistance

The authorization itself is issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security through U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The only official application platform is https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/.

Travellers who prefer professional support may use authorised agents, such as ta.us.com, which is authorized to submit ESTA applications on behalf of travellers. The country portals listed above follow the same model: they review the application, help with the form and provide support in the local language, while the applicant still supplies passport data and answers the eligibility and security questions.

What the process looks like

An ESTA application is completed online. The applicant fills in personal and passport details, answers the eligibility questions and pays the mandatory administrative fee. Most applications are processed within minutes, although some cases take several hours, which is why submitting at least 72 hours before departure is recommended.

Once approved, an ESTA is generally valid for two years or until the traveller's passport expires, whichever comes first. Each visit may last up to 90 days, and the authorization can be used for multiple entries during its validity.
